Veronica Velazquez-Aviles is a Chicana illustrator, designer, photographer, and curator born and raised in the great PNW, Washington. She creates work with various mediums to portray color, vulnerable stories, emotions, cultural identity, and community. She enjoys drawing at coffee shops and documenting life. Film photography is a new emphasis since it ultimately stems from her cinematic eye influenced by her parents who have shot many home videos and film. From working in museum and education environments to coffee shops, she created Coffee Contemporary, basically a fusion of all these job experiences.
Coffee Contemporary is a passion project that brings together a collective of coffee loving creatives and individuals. Coffee Contemporary’s mission is to provide a platform for artists to share their work by organizing thematic group exhibitions. Get in touch with Veronica if you're interested in collaborating!
