Veronica Velazquez-Aviles is a Mexican-American illustrator based in Los Angeles, California. She was born and raised in the small town of Stanwood, Washington by her immigrant parents. Veronica experienced a rough grade school experience as one of the few BIPOC students in the classroom. Moving away to Los Angeles for college brought a huge sense of belonging and healing. 
Veronica's work explores identity, emotions, culture, and community building. They enjoy drawing at coffee shops and simply documenting life through various art forms. Veronica achieved their BFA in Communication Arts: Illustration, at Otis College of Art and Design (2021).
